At hd+vk we design and create inspiring spaces for all voices. We’re a small and young interior design studio whose main focus is designing extraordinary international hospitality projects such as hotels, holiday parks, offices, gyms, restaurants and bars.

Our firm is growing rapidly. Different international projects are running simultaneously. These projects need to be designed and managed. We’re looking for somebody who can help to run the studio commercially and acts as a link between the clients and the design team.

Internal efficiency of the design process and good external communication come naturally to you. You are familiar with the stakeholders and pricing in the interior branche and help us to set up new projects, quotes and pitches.

Are you well-organized and familiar with the world of interior design and/or construction? Are you commercially minded and adept at strategizing about processes and revenue models? And do you enjoy being partially responsible for creating special places? Then read below what else we need.

Your role as a project manager for the design team

• Project planning, team planning and studio planning
• Managing time registration and workload
• Overall project alignment
• Manage the office facility requirements (also IT) so the design team can work seamlessly
• Manage HR tasks such as sourcing and hiring new interns, setting up engaging job vacancies and coordinate interviews and ensuring seamless onboarding of new employees.

Your role financial/commercial role

• Setting up quotations and assisting management in acquisition discussions, contract formation and negotiations
• Liaising with clients regarding contracts (additional work, etc.)
• Monitoring ongoing projects and associated invoicing
• Optimizing cost-benefit structure through control over deployments, hours, costs, etc.

Your personal skills

• Comfortable in the role of a linchpin in complex and challenging projects
• Strong communication skills, fluent in both Dutch and English
• Any extra language is highly appreciated (such as Spanish, Italian or German)
• Experience in a similar role (2-5 years)
• Affinity with interior design
• Basic IT knowledge
• Experience with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
• Basic experience with Adobe package (InDesign, Illustrator)
• Relevant (construction) management or business education at HBO or WO level

We’re offering a full-time job in a fun international work environment. But a work week of 32 hours is also possible. We’re not interested in freelancers. Foreign candidates must be already based in The Netherlands. Our working atmosphere is intense, but we’re very flexible.
